Congressional choices narrow for South Carolina voters

Rachel Maddow updates previous coverage of the South Carolina primary election with the news that Elizabeth Colbert Busch is projected to win the Democratic nomination and Mark Sanford faces a run-off for the Republican nomination.

>>> today was election day in south carolina . polls closed as of roughly three hours ago. it's the special election to fill the tim scott congressional seat. tim scott is now a senator. they moved him up when jim demint resigned. it left the seat open and today was the primary to figure out who was going to get to return for it. one of the republican candidates is mark sanford and he has appeared to clear his first hurdle for a return to politics.
