Ed Show’s Middle Class Hero: Sandra Fluke
Republicans waged a war on women in 2012, with governors trying to implement strict abortion laws, congressmen with extreme views on rape, and a presidential candidate who campaigned on defunding Planned Parenthood. When Congress held a hearing on the ACC’s contraception mandate, Georgetown Law student Sandra Fluke was denied the right to speak on the panel, and became a target of the right wing. Ed Schultz spoke with Fluke shortly after she was denied her spot at the congressional hearing.
