White House and Democrats signal cuts to major programs
Senior White House advisor David Plouffe says a fiscal cliff deal will only be struck if Republicans give in on tax hikes and Democrats give in on cuts to programs like Medicare and Medicaid. Rep. Peter DeFazio, D-Ore., joins Ed Schultz to explain why the Democrats shouldn't cede ground on social safety net programs.
