Country world shocked by apparent suicide of Mindy McCready

>>> the country music world shocked over the apparent suicide of mindy mccready . many fellow singers sharing their grief on twitter. carrie underwood saying i grew up listening to mindy mccready , so sad for her family. from gretchen peters , i met her in the first flush of the early career. this is a hard business. sometimes success is poison. and chely wright tweeted i will pray for her children and hope that people are gentle with her memory. those that knew mccready say they was a measure cural talent whose life was torp meanted by terrible lows including previous suicide attempts.

>> the demons that she hasn't beaten were there, and until she was going to face them, something was going to happen and everyone who knows her personally knew that. you talk about it.

>> one of her last done interviews with was andrea canning and andrea joining me now. this is such a sad story when we think about the life she led, only 37 years old. what were your impressions from when you got to speak with her?

>> i have gotten to know her over the past couple of years. she was obviously very troubled and also sweet and she was a very loving mother and became sort of infamous or famous, however want to look at it when she went on the run with her son about a year-and-a-half ago and she fought so hard for him and so this was supposed to be her new start was living in this lake house in arkansas with her boyfriend. he is the father of her baby. he also took his life. that is open still because they haven't ruled it suicide, but it was believed to be a suicide. here she loses him and then now she takes her own life apparently and they had a nine month old baby together. that was her love were her children that make this is really sad.

>> we have part of the interview with mindy you conducted last month. let's play part of that.

>> police have not called you a suspect. do you feel like just the way that it came out and the story that it was damaging in itself?

>> i was hushting so bad and then they just did whatever they could to make it hurt even more. my life hasn't really ever made sense to me. i do know what i understand could of person i am. and i do know that i try to be as good a person as i can possibly be every day.

>> very emotional will talking about david wilson 's death and the fact that she was or could have still been considered a suspect. what are the details, the back story there?

>> she felt the sheriff was on a wat witch hunt , she thought it was clear he killed himself and the sheriff said not so fast, i am not closing this investigation yet. there are more tests going on at the arkansas crime lab which is where her autopsy is going on right now as well. that just -- she just felt like that really kind of put her in a negative light when she felt like i hadn't done anything wrong, why am i being dragged into this when they're not closing the case?

>> already faced so much.

>> and she was doing -- her friend said she was doing so much better after the interview, that she kind of turned a corner and then they took her children away and put two boys in foster care and all of her friends say that is probably what pushed her over the edge .
