>> reporter: hey, alex, good afternoon, well, officially the israeli government has not said who they believe launched the drone, however, they cite media sources which they blame hezbollah and the media backers. officials fear the drone may have been part of an operation to spy on strategic sites in the country. and hezbollah is known to have sent israeli drones in the air space on previous occasions, in 2006 , they launched a drone capable of carrying explosives into israel , but was shot down. but this was the first time in six years that hostile aircraft was known to have penetrated the country's air space . the defense minister said that israel takes the incident very seriously and will consider responses. of course, tensions between israel and iran are high as they continue to face off regarding iran 's nuclear program.

>> reporter: well, so far no immediate response, but they are reporting the israeli defenses, one website calls it a reference to the country's missile defense system . so so far, neither country is saying anything official, but the war of words is continuing by proxy, if you like.
