Reagan: The nation's comforter
Ronald Reagan too often had to draw on his skills as a communicator when he was thrust into the role of the nation’s comforter. He offered solace and hope when a plane carrying Amrican servicemen and women crashed in Newfoundland on Dec. 1985, and when the space shuttle Challenger exploded.
