On April 20th, 1999, the quiet suburban community of Littleton, Colo., became the scene of one of the most horrific crimes in our nation’s history. The entire country was shocked and saddened by the terrifying events at Columbine High School that day — and left wondering if anyone, or any place, is truly safe.
