>> warren rudman saw action and was awarded a bronze star for combat in korea. he once told former defense secretary casper weinberger from his own party his talk of a, quote, limited nuclear war was assanine. he did not seek re-election saying i can see the republican party was being taken over by a movement conservatives and self-commissioned christian soldier whose social agenda i found repugnant. he was 82 years old. he died of lymphoma.
