Should Limbaugh be taken off air?

>> least the next two weeks. rush limbaugh will be losing a large portion of his national advertisers. limbaugh's distributor a lettered the affiliates to pull ads after the remarks against a georgetown law student backlash is continuing. now the fcc has been called to yank him off the air from three women 's movements. the founders of the women 's media center and robin morgan joins us now. thank you for being with us. he has apologized and he said that for over -- excuse me, for over 20 years, i have showed the absurd with absurdity three hours a day, five days a week and in this instance i chose the wrong words and i did not mean a personal attack on miss fluke, i apologize for the insulting word choices. should that apology be enough?

>> of course not. who is laughing at the comments. and not the conservative women who are writing to us in support, i might add. he has been spewing hate, against veterans, and the disabled and the elderly, and you know, when is enough enough? and in terms of women , specifically, and the women 's media center we moved on this, in a country where two, every two minutes a woman is raped. to characterize women as sexual beings is to insight to violence and as we pointed out in the statement that jane and gloria and i signed, the women 's movement, the women 's media center has a project called name it change it. and in name it change it we are trying to reposition how women are referred to in the media and we have come to the defense of conservative women who have been bad treated and called out conservative media including people on this network, including the ed show. we called out vanity fair and the huffington post and news week for covers of sarah palin that put her in hot pants. whatever you think of somebody's politics why not treat them a as a human being and take their politics seriously. we are tired of the vial speech that rush limbaugh visits on the public air waves.

>> the women of america want jobs, and an expanding economy. they are not obsessed with birth control pills being passed out on campuses or wherever anybody happens to want them. the ra yeem calculated they could create this myth cal republican war on women , and look where they are.

>> i think it's so touching that he is speaking for women , don't you? i mean, we have now rush limbaugh as our crusading knight, well we can do quite nicely without him, all we ask is that he gets his foot off of our neck. there's the through the glass rever reversal, when a woman says get your foots off of my neck, there's a man that says you are upsetting my balance. women on the move all over the country, we are tired of being defamed and of his using our public air waves that belong to all of us, for biassed, unfair coverage, which i might add is a violation in the federal communications commission , and so, we are simply using established procedures. i find it interesting that over 140 advertisers have already dropped the show and that stations are deserting. enough is enough. when is enough supposed to be enough? hate, it's enough.
